Welcome to our very first episode featuring members of "The People's Press!"

We'll open with activism in the Latinx community with a young Latinx student activist. 

I'll also be joined by Mr. Zeyela from Zeyela’s Live Media to discuss Black History in North Omaha. 

Mel Buer & State Senator Adam Morfeld also hop on to discuss some of his new proposed legislation!

On this episode we get a chance to speak with Omaha Mayoral candidate Jasmine L. Harris on her campaign. 

We also speak with Lincoln City Council Members James Michael Bowers & Tammy Ward on the recent recall attempt. 

Lincoln community member/activist Natalie Weiss also hops on to talk about Trans rights in Nebraska, and Chris Dunker of the LJS speaks with us about the recent testimonials at Legislative hearings!

This episode we get the opportunity to speak with Ishma Valenti of the Malone Center's "Hold Cops Accountable" to speak about the progress of the initiative.

Preston Love Jr., who ran for The United States Senate in 2020, will join us to speak about his work in the black community in Omaha, his initiative "Black Votes Matter", as well as his overall thoughts on the 2020 election. 

"The People's Press" also hop come on to discuss this historic impeachment trial which resulted in acquittal.

In this episode, we get to meet a new a Hastings, NE resident who shares how covid has impacted her community.

In this episode we chat with a co-founder of Black Leaders Movement about the future of the BLM movement. 

Melody Vaccaro of "Seeing Red Nebraska" & "Nebraskans Against Gun Violence" speaks to us about gun control. 

RJ Vega of Romu Media LLC also hops on the show to discuss meatpacker protections in the State of Nebraska.

In this episode Mel Buer, a member of The People's Press joins me on a discussion about the minimum wage debate.

I also have a dual interview with a member of Omaha Tenants United and a member of Lincoln Tenants Assistance Project.

First up is Sändra Washington for City Council! Sändra Washington served multiple terms on the Homestead Girl Scout Board of Directors, the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and as a Lincoln-Lancaster County Planning Commissioner before her appointment to the City Council in June 2019.

Trevor Reilly joins us in this next episode! He grew up and attended high school in Omaha, NE, and served for 4 years in The United States Marine Corps. Reilly obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Media Studies from Bellevue University, and previously served as an Administrative Assistant for the Nebraska State Legislature.

In this episode we get to know Dr. Newman! At the age of 10, Dr. Newman immigrated to the United States from Baku, Azerbaijan with her family. Newman graduated from UNL with a BA in Psychology, the University of Phoenix with an MS in Psychology, and obtained a Ph.D. from Northcentral University. She has worked in healthcare for 17 years and is also a small business owner.

We get to meet Maggie Mae Squires in this episode. She earned a B.A. in philosophy with a Physics minor from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Squires went on to earn a master's degree in management from Doane College. She is a small business owner in LNK.

Tom Beckius joins me in this episode to share more about his background. He has served on the boards of the Community Health Endowment of Lincoln, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Lincoln City Libraries, Lincoln’s Young Professionals Group, Lincoln Commission on Human Rights, OutNebraska and NextGen at Lincoln Community Foundation. Tom also serves on the Community Advisory Council for Lincoln Public Schools and is a former member of the President’s Advisory Council for the University of Nebraska.

The Jazari Kual Show; Season 1 Finale!

For the last episode of season 1, we're joined by 3 of the 6 remaining candidates for the 2021 Lincoln City Council election. Councilwoman Washington, Councilman Shobe, and Commissioner Beckius join me live from The Turbine for one last discussion on different policies and needs for the community.

The Lincoln city general election will be held on May 4th, 2021.
